Digital pressure sensors boast high resolution, accuracy
Useful for demanding pressure-sensing applications, Sensortechnics' custom piezoresistive pressure sensors deliver 24-bit resolution and a total error band of 0.1% typical over pressure ranges starting at 2.5 mbar (1 in.H2O) full scale. A low-noise amplifier and 24-bit ADC provide high-resolution digital signals with high signal-to-noise ratios. The devices also achieve response times of 250 µs.
The use of integrated microcontrollers allows various options for application-specific adaptations, including the calibration, signal conditioning, and signal transmission of the sensor. Additionally, the onboard microcontroller enables programmable correction algorithms for temperature compensation and linearization. Within the overall pressure range, certain subranges with different resolutions and accuracies can be calibrated.
In addition, Sensortechnics offers modifications of the digital sensor interface (SPI, I2C) and can program custom communication protocols. Other functions that can be added include status requests, diagnostic messages, and auto-zero.
