New LTA-LTB Submersible Level Transducers Now Available for Production

Measurement Specialties has announced that its LTA/LTB submersible level transducers have entered production. These are specifically designed for the measurement and control of liquid level in harsh environments.

The LTA has a 1.0” frame with a ported nose cap model that safeguards the stainless steel diaphragm from being damaged. The LTB has a non-fouling protective cage with wider mouth to protect the 2.75” TFMR PTFE diaphragm. These two transducers have an invariable accuracy of ±0.25% FSO over the -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to 140°F) operating range.

The two transducers are CE-compliant to EN61326-3:2006 and EN61326-1:2001 and have a NEMA 6P and IP68 housing protection rating. They have optional FM and UL certification for Division 1, Class I – III and Group A – G locations.

The LTA/LTB transducers use an accurate pressure sensor assembly created for hostile fluids. This assembly is incorporated with supporting electronics in a 316 stainless steel waterproof housing. Four pre-calibrated pressure ranges from 0 - 50psi, 0 - 30psi, 0 - 15psi and 0 - 5psi are available with a sealed or vented gage pressure reference. The electrical polyurethane cable is custom-manufactured and is connected with an over-molding process that restricts moisture intrusion to provide long product life.

The LTA/LTB submersible level transducers are suitable for pump control applications including lift station monitoring, landfill leachate monitoring, tank liquid level, dewatering and construction bypass pumping.
