New Market Research Report on Wireless Sensor Networks

The nodes act as readers and tags and consume excessive power. Improvements have been made in decreasing the power consumption. Among batteries, rechargeable versions are more attractive than lithium thionyl chloride single-use versions, which possess a twenty year life under suitable conditions.

The report addresses issues regarding the 20 year life for rechargeable batteries, alternatives, and the various technology options – piezoelectric, thermoelectric, electrodynamic and photovoltaic. It provides profiles of governments, standard bodies and the creation of improved WSN components.
