Implant Sciences’ QS-B220 Deployments Expand into Middle East

Implant Sciences recently declared that it has supplied units of its Quantum Sniffer QS-B220 benchtop explosives as well as narcotics trace detectors. The shipments consist of a previously pronounced sale of a distributor demonstration system to China.

The Middle East is the recent customer that incorporates trace detection into its building security operations following the company's recent success with non-government users. So far, QS-B220s have been sold to clients in North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East for integration in a wide range of corporate and government applications such as corporate security, public safety, and VIP security.

Following its 2011 launch, the QS-B220 has received ASTM E2520 Certification and CE Certification. The product is currently being assessed for certification based on air cargo screening by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration.

Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 is a handheld explosives trace detector that employs Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS) to detect trace amounts of extensive commercial, military, and homemade explosives more quickly and precisely. The QS-H150 boasts a low-maintenance design with both self-calibrating and self-clearing features and offers very high levels of operational availability. It is free of radioactive materials.

Launched in May 2011, Quantum Sniffer QS-B220 is an Ion Mobility Spectrometry (IMS)-based benchtop explosive and narcotics trace detector that can quickly identify trace amounts of several commercial, homemade and military explosives, besides narcotic substances. The QS-B220 does not contain radioactive materials. It provides reduced total cost of ownership with increased operational availability.
